still struggling around 100
The AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix is still one the most prestigious events in Germany and it is everything the visitor is used to. Racing activities for the complete weekend, clubs and manufactures with their display and 50,000 visitors… and 100 Ferraris, more or less the same disappointing number than previously. However, one has to dignify FCD’s efforts to fill the ground close to the Mercedes Arena.

17 cars represented to period up to 1970, 7 of them participated in the races and 62 cars have been produced in 1990 or later. Remarkable 10 x Dino, 3 x 365 GT 2+2, 2 Daytonas, 1 Gobbone, 5 x 308, 5 x Bbi, 3 x 328, 6 x Testarossa, 4 Mondials, only 2 x 348, 6 x F355, 3 x 550, 4 x 360, 2 x 575, 2 x Superamerica, 2 x 612, 12 x F430, 3 x California, 6 x 599, 15 x 458, one example each of F40, 512 TR, FF, F12 berlinetta and the 275 GTB at Coys.

We don’t want to sound negative and the commitment of the FCD and drivers present cannot be rated too high but the question remains what Ferrari’s efforts will be in the future, for the relevant market in Germany and the markets in Europe in general?

The next days will see some Slide Shows of interesting cars, starting today with the “Competizioni”
