The Ferrari stand on IAA and beyond
Sure, it is always somthing special to visit an official display by Ferrari, but sometimes it has a special level of disorganization. This time, the boys on guard at the entrance drew the annoyance of the waiting press and visitors and the girls at the desk were kind but helpless: the stand is overcrowded was the stereotype answer and we have to admit, they have been right, but it was not the stand, but the bar where prosciutto, grissini, antipasti and cheese was offered, only a few visitors had a closer look on the cars on display. Combined with the fact that the battery on the new Spider was done within the first hour after presentation -keeping the car from closing and opening its Spider-roof- completed the picture of a "perfect appearance". However, they sell cars, not ambience, don't they?

The display was made of all cars either appearing in special colours or being complete tailor made. The berlinetta appeared in Rosso Corsa met. We would not have noticed this if the sticker has not been visible. The FF was livered in "normal" Grigio FF, but the Sabbia interior Daytona seats with Grigio Scuro application are special. The 488 GTB was shown in Bianco Italia with a special blue interior. The display was completed with two tailor made California Ts. The F14 T was a mock-up (#0181) as well as the same model that was displayed by marketing partner, Mahle (#0180).

The tuning companies had no Ferrari on display. It might be too late for the berlinetta and yet too early for the 488 GTB. ADAC had a berinetta on display that was modified by VOS-Cars.

A new permanent display like Meilenwerk and Classic Remise will be established at Zeche Ewald in Essen. Motorworld used Bratke's 512 Competizione Replica for promotion.
