After the "big break" after Zandvoort, the beginning of last week saw Modena Motorsports Trackday, once again held in Spa and was followed by Germany's "little Goodwood"-event, the Schloß Dyck Classic Days in Jüchen near Düsseldorf. This weekend the 41st Oldtimer Grandprix (OGP) is to follow, before the Ferrari Racing Days, the only European edition this year, will finish the "Grand Four" of Germany's outdoor events.
Sure we will provide you with interessting details and beautiful pictures of cars and people being present and full reports of Spa, Schloß Dyck and the two Rings.
Before finishing those, we will share some interessting stories of the events in advance.
After being at Modena Motorsports Trackday last year at the Nürburgring where Jacky Ickx signed a copy of the "Ferrari Serial Number Manual" we decided to go for a "Edition of Legends" of the Book and the Supplement #1. This means a copy of each print work will accomany us to the various events for the next time and we are trying to catch as much autographs of people being conected with Ferrari over the years.
It started at Spa and Jacky Ickx once again was the first to sign, followed by collectors like Bernhard Dransmann and Guus Bierman as well as Germany's only dealer being responsible for Ferrari Classiche certifications, Helmut Eberlein.
We have been hnoured when our chief editor and author of the Book, Matthias Urban, met Jean-Louis Bezemer, one of the most relevant Historians on Ferrari who was so kind to rank the "Ferrari Serial Number Manual" as the 6th most relevant book on Ferrari ever. His autograph is sure included as well, just above the one of the great John Surtees, the only racer who became motorbike-worldchampion as well as F1-Champion - natch with Ferrari!
John Surtees was present at this year's Schloß Dyck Classic Days, follow the link below to share the moment in the Picture Box!
What will happen with the "Edition of Legends"? To be honest, we do not know yet, let it grow first, however, Book and Supplement are one of a kind already!
