First of all, we have to admit that we have missed certain exhibitors, i.e., Capristo, or should we say, we have missed the Ferraris they usually have used for wrapping, tuning and detailing.
The upcoming 70th anniversary of the Factory from Maranello provided two special displays, one of Essen Motor Show (11 cars) and the other by SIHA (9 cars). All so called 'Supercars' are present, the Enzo is represented by one of the ex-Bernhard Dransmann's FXX. There are, as usual, some race cars from the various GT3 series and some historic Formula cars. Sure some of the 'modified' cars of the actual or very recent production are on display, i.e., a F12 modified by Edo Competition and looking similar to a F12 TdF.
This time it is hard to tell what is the "Best of Show", too many different models, too many special impressions and classic cars to name one. However, the 250 GTE, #4147GT, in rare Giallo Solare is wonderful to see in its unrestored condition. Dino #03792 was at auction by Mecum earlier this year and now on the stand of Heijstee Classic Cars - the pictures from America did not show the poor paint the car showed only display in Essen. However, it always is impressive to see cars like that.
