The Ferrari lots have another real trivia story to tell
Tomorrow Auction America's Aubuun Spring starts in Indiana. It is eye-catching that all six Ferrari lots are coming from the dissolved racing team, Level 5 Motorsports. It is the story of Scott Tucker, the team owner. Tucker, born 1962, was making his money from being Leawood payday loan businessman. The business was unter investigation already in 1991, when Tucker received a prison sentence for given false information to banks. In 2014, the authorities investigated and accused Tucker in a payday loan criminal trial for systematically deceiving his consumers and later, additionaly with wire fraud and money laundering. The trial is ongoing.

Scott Tucker started racing by entering Ferrari North American Challenge Series in 2006 and later, additionally moved to Grand-Am and ALMS, continuing in the Ferrari Challenge until 2015 (with #195603). He set up Level 5 Motorsports and money seemed not to matter to get it work in a professional way. His team became champion in the LMP2-Kategorie in 2012 and 2013, not only using Ferraris, but six cars being amongst them, including a Grand Am spec tube-frame car built by Crawford on a F430 with the non-Factory serial number of ST430GTLJ01.
