As already shared earlier, our „Sticky Post“ caused different howls, mostly probably with the top dogs of the business - but these are other people's problems to my opinion. However, I gave some advise to a friend who recently purchased himself a 355 Spider F1 and one advise for sure was to immediately get all the sticky things done. If you own a Ferrari after the 328-series you cannot escape this issue. All cars that have the soft finish will suffer - sooner or later. My friend spoiled his first pair of trousers as soon as he entered the car, the cover of the steering column was infected.
The parts have been removed properly, have been phtographed and have been safely packaged. I "shipped" them personally as I wanted to accept an invitation that I received from Eric Nelissen, owner of Stradale B.V. in Herten in the Netherlands, when I met him first at this year's Interclassics Topmobiel in Maastricht where he had a stand. Between the introduction, the sticky-removal from my car's parts and the visit, I sure did my research on
Stradale Vintage Cars and what could be better than a recommendation of one's official dealer?
Stradale Vintage Cars is a sports car dealer in Herten, a part of Dutch city Roermond. The location is a wonderful place, on of the prettiest and cleanest I have ever seen. Eric has a very clear picture how to trade cars in what condition. All cars in his showroom and workshop are detailed to best conditions - some of them even look better than on the day they where born in Maranello! You see, we are talking Ferrari predominantly. When we visited Stradale Vintage Cars some 40 to 50 cars have been in the showroom with 29 of them being Ferraris, 9 of those have been F355s in all colour schemes, predominantly of all shades of Blue.
If you are an owner and you are looking for help on the sticky-repair, contact Eric Nelissen. He is acting as an intermediate as he sends the parts to an Italian workshop that has specialized on sticky-repair. The process can be viewed on the Slide Show of this topic we already provided earlier. Costs for repairing a basis set of F355-sticky parts is €1700 without VAT and €2057 with VAT.
Eric can be reached at De Hanze, 6049 HZ Herten, NL, phone +31 475 319 946.
Have a look into our Slide Show that features Stradale Vintage Cars' showroom with Eric's kind permission.
