When something new begins, you naturally compare it to the past. We all know that Techno Classica has been struggling a bit in recent years. Now, of course, we're all eagerly wondering how the new event has started and whether it's worth making the trip to Essen this Sunday.
The typical eight halls are occupied by Retro Classics, and the layout was surprising. Hall 3 is packed, and in the end, there are 67 Ferraris parked there—a whole four that weren't there. Back home, you go to the kiosk and buy a "mixed bag"—it contains everything from your favorite candy to the classic that's always a must-have, to the latest delicacy. That's exactly what Hall 3 is like—everything's there, mostly presented by familiar faces with many things we've already seen in recent months.

It was noticeable yesterday that many people obviously needed convincing to become visitors, because we had plenty of space to look around and take photos, and since everything was so surprisingly compact, we were able to have extensive conversations with friends and acquaintances who were there.
So, if you don't have any plans, go, it's worth it... Hall 3.
Retro Classics in Essen is open until Sunday, daily from 10 am to 6 pm. The €29 entrance fee is a bit more than, for example, for Paris, but Hall 3 is a wonderful "mixed bag."
