Here we are back at the Kaufhaus! Over the coming days, floor by floor, the shelves will be stocked with a seemingly endless number of Ferraris. Naturally! It’s Monterey Week!

We’re doing things a bit differently this year. Instead of working our way from the bottom up and saving the highlights for last, for 2026 we’re doing the exact opposite! Why, you ask? Quite simply, to give you more time to admire these visual treasures.

We have five auction houses to cover again this year. Bonhams, Gooding Christie's, and RM Sotheby's are the friends kindly providing us with imagery, and we want to ensure they have plenty of time to tempt you into taking a closer look at the goods on their shelves.

Bringing up the rear are Mecum Auctions and Broad Arrow Auctions—two providers with whom we haven't really made much progress regarding collaboration over the past 12 months. Consequently, they get the bargain bin in the basement, even though their offerings aren't bad at all—and certainly not junk. But then again, you can't take home what you don't see, right?

So, after taking the escalator and catching a sneak preview of the floors to come, we kick things off today with the lineup from Bonhams. They are no longer holding "The Quail" auction; instead, they are heading to the Laguna Seca racetrack to host their sale under a new Name and a new Location there this Thursday:
