Fritz Neuser was "my" first Ferrari dealer, whom I visited on occasion—way back in the day. Back then, it was still punishable by death to even approach a VIN, let alone write it down or photograph it.

But after the greetings, Neuser retreated to his office and only reappeared once more, calling out, "You don't write down serial numbers, do you?" to which we immediately shook our heads in denial. Ah, history on Röthensteig in Nuremberg.

Now we're all growing up, well, at least a little. Fritz Neuser will soon be 94 and has decided it's time to part with his collection, doing so in style in Paris with the support of our friends at Artcurial—another automotive highlight in the French capital. What a cool thing!

From Friday onwards, Marcel Dassault's works can be admired in the venerable building at the Rond-Point des Champs-Élysées Marcel-Dassault, before being auctioned on Sunday.
