Het Loo is a spacious park with many grassed areas where dealers and clubs had their stands. The place in front was reserved for the participants of the Concours d'Elegance.
As the event clearly reaches for the historic segment of cars one can even find classic cars parking within the two parking lots that are part of the area.
Beside the Concours d'Elegance that included two Ferraris (#10287, the Daytona Prototipo we already featured earlier and #3147GT, an elegant 250 GTE) Dino Ferrari's 60th birthday was another good opportunity to celebrate Dinos. We have been a bit afraid on Saturday that the number of Dinos would be sufficient, but, why worry? We are in the Netherlands! In the end 21 Dinos including one Fiat Dino have been counted - dauntless of mud and humidity. That is nearly the half of all Ferraris that have been present. Any favourites from our side? Definitely! The adventurous story about 00896 would qualify this Dino, but it looks, like F-Register goes more with the "slowpokes" this time: 07390 was shown in its original Argento Auteuil livery that tops every "re-paint in original colour" - authenticity looks so much better!
And that's it. Not quite! It was overwhelming joy to meet Jean-Louis Bezemer, philanthropist and connoisseur, again and to see him well recovered and of good health!
The weather provided ambience for dramatically good pictures as you will find from the accompaning Slide Show.
And we will return 2018, that's for sure!
For those who are interessted in locations and venues: Bastion Hotel Apeldoorn Het Loo is very sufficient for the event and convinces by being only a few steps away from the park. Martins Brasserie on the Paslaan is obviously one of the places for diner that can be highly recommend - this applies for food and ambience.
