We have been a bit doubting as the previous events only held a small number of Ferraris for us in stock and we have been hooked by the great 60 Anni display of the FCN that took place as the final event of the celebration in January 2008 at the MECC in Maastricht.
But - never shall you doubt, but believe and if you don't believe, you have to have a close look at the offering! And that's what we did.
We returned with - in our point of view - the most impressive result since 2008. The current demand on classic cars and the increases in prices sure have led to this.
We also have to recognize that the group of buyers has changed. What we call Classics is already ultra-Classic for the next generation that currently is investing in "garage gold". Their reminders of the past are the Magnum-308s, the 328s and the Miami Vice-Testarossas - why not?
The price level in Masstricht? Usually something you do not compare with market prices - a fair is a different place for trades, especially when it comes to the cars' conditions. A glance on the presentation and the exterior, a glimpse, if one is lucky, under the hood, a check of the interior and the odometer, that's all what is possible.
Star of the Show? Probably Hoefnagel's GTO #182266 in livera storico or The Gallery's Daytona in rare Rosso Cordoba or Potomac's 308 in Oro Chiaro? Judge yourself by a look on the Slide Show.
Hosting by the Interclassics Team was premium as always and in the usual very kind way. Thank you for that - we will return next year, come rain, snow or shine!
