Work on the assembly line has started again, 1,141 units were completed after the summer break and the first examples of the swan song for the 296 have appeared. Certainly still so-called Mulettos and very, very few, but it continues. The first month after the factory holidays did not lead to the start of production of the LaFerrari successor, which is currently still being tested as the F250, as some had suspected - at least not based on the numbers. What we are "missing" is a successor to the SF90 - none in sight so far. Our update shows 1,428 records that have been processed, in addition to the "new" ones from above, we have again focused on a model in particular, which we have analysed, supplemented, corrected and completed. This time we have taken on the 512 TR.
And then we were really on the road. For anyone who hasn't seen it yet: we've uploaded a wonderful slide show of our visit to the Loh Collection, the National Car Museum. You can share our joy at the unique impression and of course just think about whether you really have to go there. The special exhibition of Ferraris as the icing on the cake will be on display until March.
Tip toe thru' the end of summer: Summer is not for couch potatoes or indoor visits - even if this year's summer, at least in our part of the world, didn't really deserve the name. So of course, we went to the Oldtimer Grand Prix and also to the Racing Days at the Ring. In a variation of the great philosopher, Viktor von Bülow, we can only agree: "There used to be more Ferrari." While the FCD is laudably holding up the flag, which then becomes only a small flag, our favourite company seems to be losing a little verve and believing that the myth can be maintained permanently without any maintenance. A few current models, a few racing activities, a stable of approved pre-owned cars and the hope that the owners will provide the right framework with their cars is a little bit little - not to mention the lack of respect for the classic cars - it is hard to find more than a Queen Mary these days.
Well, there is no point in complaining. Will it get better? Probably not, but that gives us time to go back to our desks and carry on. There is still so much that is waiting to be incorporated into F-Register. So come on, folks, get to work!
