Pininfarina built the car in October 1965 and 0840 made its way through the halls of the autoshows in Paris, Torino and New York. Returning home to Italy, the car stayed with Pininfarina. After Pinin Farina's passing, the ACO named the square in front of the museum in Le Mans after him.
Count Bernard de Lassée, then President of FIVA and curator of the collection, suggested to display something special by Pinin Farina at the museum and Sergio Pininfarina donated the Dino Prototipo that joined the collection on June, 10th 1967.
Nearly 50 years later, 0840 will be offered on February, 10th, starts our Paris reports for this year and is featured in today's Slide Show.
