The first Chinese GP took place on Sept. 26th 2004 and the race remained close to the finish of the season until 2008 before it was included in the bunch of season starters. The race is usually scheduled for 56 laps, each lap has a distance of 5.451 km with a total of 16 turns (7 left turns and 9 right hand bends).
The first GP of China was won by Rubens Barichello with his F2004 (#240). Only two more victories have been achieved by the drivers of the Scuderia (Michael Schumacher in 2006 with the 248 #255 and Kimi Raikkönen on #262, a F2007, in 2007). Apart from that the Scuderia has not to be successful over there. Four times out of 18 attempts drivers failed to reach Q3.
For this year’s GP, the Scuderia looks optimistically on some new updates to the F138 and wants to reach the podium if not even take the victory…
