Montezemolo was the face of a successful Italian car maker, acting in a business model that worked off of any theory, but, it worked and it worked very well.
He provided the Ferraristi with the most successful F1-era of the Scuderia ever. What a dream team Montezemolo-Todt-Brawn-Schumacher has been!
And he made the owners feel like being a big family, even if Ferrari is just not more than an Italian car maker. But once included in this tiny elite group it was that special like with no other car maker at all.
Now Montezemolo's ends and we all stand up and bow respectfully before him. He sweetens his farewell with the launch of the 458 Italia Speciale A and the F60America. Thanks for every model he presented to the Ferrari-family since the F355, the starter of the Montezemolo-era.
Owners and Ferraristi will be a bit worried of the future without Montezemolo. It will be different. Will it be that exclusive, familial and successful? We will see, but, that the turn of another page.
Thank you, Luca di Montezemolo, for being on duty for 23 years and all our best to your future!
