Essen's Techno Classica was amazing. Not because it was different in the past, apart from the expenses during the conversion work, but, Paris gave the worst possible presentation with very few Ferraris on display. We were afraid that, driven by Corona, that could also be the case in Essen and we went there without high expectations and were taught something better, as seldom.
Not only that Corona did a good job and made the Preview Day such a thing again with a lot less audience than expected and definitely gaps in the rows of stands, i.e., we sadly missed Lukas Hüni's offering again, but 111 Prancing Horses in the pasture of Essen, who would have expected that?
Needless to say, in return Corona demanded tribute the next week, unclear if caught at the fair or elsewhere - so one still cannot be too careful. Thank God, the outdoor season is about to start.
150,000 visitors in total over 5 days is a veritable value and the fact that the dealers spoke of good business is not bad for the time that lies behind us.
In any case, we are already looking forward to April 2023, when it will continue from the 12th to the 16th, and if Messe Essen and SIHA continue in the same spirit, we will be all the happier.
The pictures of Essen are of course part of today's Silde Show! The Enzo is missing, just like the 330 at Catawiki (it's in the Classic Remise in Düsseldorf today, like some other cars from Essen), because they weren't there on the preview day. We also took a picture of Düsseldorf from Movendi's Barchetta because it's nicer. Enjoy!
