Michael and his friend, Berthold, a Board member of FMC as well, are frequently visiting all relevant events of the Ferrari community.
We have asked Michael to be that kind to share his impressions of this year's MM and he agreed. Here are his impressions of the first day.
The guys have to cope with weather conditions that looks to be "normal" for Europe at the moment. With Brescia showing dry conditions at the start some heavy showers made Michael and Berthold's day somehow uncomfortable, but, a true spotter laughs into the face of weather gods.
Wayne Golomb's 375 MM (#0456AM) was exhibited in Rome, but did not show up on Brescia's starting ramp. Michael's pictures show some of the beautiful historic cars with diffent variations of the drivers and co-drivers to avoid "fully wet conditions", especially with the open cars.
The field of the Tribute cars has somehow melted compared to previous years. 75 -predominantly modern- cars accompany the Mille Miglia Storico. One of the cars will be featured in our Picture Box later today, a 599 GTB Fiorano F1 with race #540 that appears in another colour we can add to our colour list: "Thistle Purple". Michael will provide us with the colour code later on.
Today, thankfully reporting about dry weather conditions, the folks will make their spots at the Futa Pass and we are looking for an "overnight message" to share Michael and Berthold's new impressions tomorrow.
To be continued...
