Montezemolo, Todt, Brawn and Schumacher stood behind the team’s success. Schumacher joined Ferrari because Niki Lauda advised Gianni Agnelli, Montezemolo andTodt accordingly. Schumacher had been the only F1-Champion that was still driving at that time.
We don’t want to stress again the successful times, but the short period before, the year 1996. We assume it is that what we love best on Michael Schumacher is his sustain ability for pushing the team in any of its capabilities – be it on the constant development of the car through flops and success or building the relationship within the team, without missing the typical German accuracy and the unbreakable desire for achieving the next success. We assume, Alonso was the nearest to reach Michael’s high standards, but “near” is a close miss.
After suffering the bad injuries during his skiing holidays about a year ago, we are all looking for every good news about Michael’s recovery. Imagine him re-joining the Scuderia again as a mentor of Sebastian Vettel for the 2015 season. Would it be a guess too educated to assume that Ross Brawn would accompany him?
Today we think of Michael Schumacher, wishing him a happy birthday and hope that the steps of recovery are as big and as successful as his temper has shown the many times.
We have added a small Slide Show of the F355 GTS he has owned and that we have spotted in last September during Spa Italia.
