Close to the start of the new F1-season
Several changes will accompany us through the new season. The most relevant change is the replacement of the V8 engine by a V6 Turbo charged aggregate plus the usage of 163 hp by ERS. Five engines are available per driver for the season. We expect lap times being slower by 2 to 5 seconds.

The sole exhaust pipe -compared to two used previously- will prevent the use of exhaust gases for aerodynamic reason.

For each race the fuel laod will be reduced from 160 to 100 litres.

The front nose will be lowered to 18.5 cms instead of 55 cms to prevent the impact of accidents.

The transmission "gains" a further gear, summing up to 8. Four gearboxes are allowed for each driver per year.

Penalty points will be awarded additional to race related fines like drive through penalties and reinstatements.

Let's hope for an enthralling season with success for the Scuderia. Once again our thoughts are with Michael Schumacher and may be his spirit will lead to a pattern: Schumacher's success with the Scuderia started in his fifth season in red, Alonso will pick up his fifth season for Ferrari in 2014. A good omen?
