Sergio Pininfarina passed away today aged 84
Sergio Pininfarina, born on Sept. 8th, 1926, son of Battista "Pinin" Farina, both known for their beautiful designs they provided to Ferrari, passed away on July, 3rd 2012. The first Ferrari designed by Pinin Farina -as the company was called until the 1960s- was #0177EL, a 212 Inter Cabriolet, finished in Red/Cuoio and completed in June 1952. The 250 GTO was the last production Ferrari that was not designed by Pininfarina. The Dinos where not officially called Ferrari until late 308 GT/4s. The 206/246 came from Pininfarina, the 308 GT/4 was designed by Bertone.

Beside the production cars, Pininfarina provided beautiful design studies likes the 365P, 250 P5/P6, 512S, Modulo, Cr 25, Pinin, Mythos and Rosso.
