Why wait? The gates in Maranello have closed for Christmas and New Year's Eve, just as many official dealers are using the time, because if you haven't bought a Ferrari for under the tree now, you won't be coming this year.
This also means that we know that 320527 was almost certainly the last number to be allocated in 2024 and closes the 88th Update - 834 cars are new to the world's most beautiful Database, including the new ones, 1,584 records have been edited - this will continue to increase in the new year as more and more VINs are added. The principle is: first get complete, then complete!
Interesting news? Perhaps we saw the last SP3 produced this week, slightly over the target production, and the first F80s seem to have gone into production. What is striking is an apparent imbalance between the Purosangues for the US, Greater China, Middle East and South East Asia markets compared to the cars with EU, UK and JP specs. We suspected that SUVs would sell much better there - even if we in Europe are "annoyed" about their increase in the street scene, the model fits much better with the country digits A, L, T and E!
What's new for your favourite site in 2025? The Event Calendar for the coming year is in progress, we hope to be able to add a huge stack of "history data" to the database before the end of the year and, for everyone, including those who don't have a subscription (it's amazing how such a thing still exists...), we are working on providing our 'About the Cars' section with the history and breakdown of the numbers for the individual models - AI helps us with the texts (without us taking them over without editing - it's not supposed to be an advertising event) and we are our own when it comes to the numbers - we can do that!
Stay loyal to us, stay connected and best of all, stay subscribed - we'll do our best for you.
We wish you, dear friends, a peaceful Christmas and a great and successful New Year and if F-Register is the most exciting thing in 2025, that wouldn't be a bad thing for the world, would it?
Stay safe, stay secure, stay healthy and if you do find the Ferrari under the tree this year... all the better
Yours
Matthias Urban and the complete F-Register Team
