Ferrari once again breaks the records
David MacNeil is said to have purchased the silver 250 GTO from Christian Gläsel via Lukas Hüni and Goodings. There are different price tags mentioned in the press, some say the purchase price was $70 million, others quote $80 million being paid for the June 1963-production car.

4153GT was restored by DK Engineering of Chorleywood and has been Classiche certified in 2012.

The last price known being paid previously, was $6,5 million, when it was purchased by one of the Grohe-brothers in 2000. Gläsel purchased the car in 2003 and used it for historic races and displays such as Modena Track Days, the Ferrari Maserati Historic Challenge, the Schloß Bensberg Concours d'Elegance, the Le Mans Classic, Tour Auto, the Pebble Beach Tour and the 50th anniversary GTO tour.

It will be exciting to hear, if this deal will have any influence on the market that has weakened recently.
