Unexpectedly beautiful!

In most cases..., no, in all cases, we usually know what to expect when we visit events and exhibitions. Then there are always moments of happiness that fall on us like stars. The first museum visit to Lowman's was something like this: unexpectedly beautiful! Having the Pantheon in Basel for ourselves at the special Ferrari exhibition: unexpectedly beautiful! The PS, I love you exhibition in the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf: unexpectedly beautiful!

And now we were in the NAM! In the National Auto Museum. We knew what to expect, with every single serial number, but, in the middle of nowhere, it was unexpectedly beautiful!

The museum opened on July 23, 2023. In Dietzhölztal-Ewersbach. You may ask now; where? In Dietzhölztal-Ewersbach, a scenic drive. That's understandable. Because the museum was founded by Friedhelm Loh and he works there and is quite successful. The additional link came after my neighbor told me shortly before we arrived (that sounds so long,

it's only 150 km, but it's through the Sauerland and that takes time) that he and Friedhelm Loh were successful business partners. One more reason to be excited.

And now we arrive in Dietzhölztal, slowly, very slowly we float past Loh's Rittal and almost think: there's nothing here, yes, Ms. Google says, turn left in 200 meters and we drive towards an ancient (beautifully ancient) train station and think, no, that can't be here. And Ms. Google says, turn left and then it's there - the National Car Museum. It looks modern, from the outside and for long stretches inside and then you find a wonderfully designed old ironworks.

Loh Coll

The ironworks contains large parts of the approximately 150 vehicles of all brands and years. The special Ferrari exhibition took place in the "brave new world", which runs until March 2025. The 225 S does not belong to Friedhelm Loh, but the rest, the amazing rest, belongs to a fascinatingly amazing collection. The "Fantastic Five" are there, with Uderzo's 288 and sports car racers and Formula cars and old classics. You can see it all for yourself in the slide show. And you have to go there yourself: to the National Auto Museum in Dietzhölztal-Ewersbach in the Sauerland. It was unexpectedly beautiful! Once again...
