It is always surprising that an average of 20,000 visitors visit the Essen Motor Show over ten days. But, it is a marketplace for tuners, suppliers of add-on parts to pimp up the car and of course the dream bubble for many who would like to let it rip, but perhaps are not ready yet or who have the dream forever unfulfilled.
We have been preparing for years that this is 'our' end of the year show and we go to Essen with correspondingly low expectations and are happy to have seen one or the other "Car with Horse" again.
But it's amazing what turn the trade fair has taken. Or, is it a development that we have overlooked? The outdoor events in 2023 were poor in total and in attendance, at least where we went. Does this also happen in the halls? We'll watch it. With 12 Ferraris this year there were four fewer than last year. 20 years ago there were 57!
But, never mind, we'll be happy to come back next year. You can see the "glorious" twelve in our slide show today - hall by hall
